Title: NetSuite Manager and Architect

Location: Remote - Canada

Reports to: Sr. Director Enterprise Business Applications Delivery

 

The Role: 

This role is the ‘go to’ person responsible for the ultimate leadership and ownership of the NetSuite and OpenAir systems spanning ongoing system health and roadmap project delivery including User Support, System Integrations; System Analysis, Design & Implementation of new system solutions to meet stakeholder needs.

The ideal candidate will possess system team management experience and a deep understanding of NetSuite, its supported financial processes, related integrations, and industry best practices to deliver optimal NetSuite system performance and solutions in concert with business stakeholders and technical teams. We are seeking a team player with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with the Accounting and Finance organizations to understand their needs and define solutions that maximize operational efficiency and application performance while managing competing priorities.

 

The Impact:

This role will lead the collaborative process of understanding and solving Business needs for daily system support issues; and solution design and implementation of NetSuite and OpenAir changes across the enterprise and integration of new acquisitions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize, evolve, and maintain NetSuite and OpenAir system functionality and integrations to efficiently support business processes across Accounting, Finance, and Procurement teams in collaboration with integrated Enterprise Systems Application teams.
  • Establish credibility with business stakeholders as a trusted advisor by listening, understanding their business and quickly provide actionable options for consideration.
  • Participate in NetSuite and OpenAir System leadership discussions to address concerns and help set system enhancement direction.
  • Ownership and implementation of the NetSuite and OpenAir System Roadmap including regular stakeholder updates.
  • Facilitate the day-to-day technology oversight and prioritization for all system support and implementation activities.
  • Provide System knowledge leadership to assess reported system issues, guide Systems Team to compile comprehensive business & system requirements; design and guide implementation of complex system solutions to meet business needs.
  • Assist System Team members to organize assignments into high-level task breakdowns, understand interdependencies, communicate risks, and resolve roadblocks to ensure quality delivery.
  • Guide System Team and participate in the development, execution, and review of unit, component, and integration level tests to verify requirements are met.
  • Perform system change reviews to ensure quality, proactively identify defects, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the DevOps release process to ensure changes move seamlessly from development to production following corporate change management and compliance processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in NetSuite business analysis and full lifecycle implementation and ongoing support.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a management consulting for implementation or system optimization as a hands-on project manager, systems manager, or functional consultant.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash process and Advanced Revenue Management with prior NetSuite experience for professional services and subscription-based software products.
  • Well versed in NetSuite and all functions and modules within NetSuite.
  • NetSuite Integration experience with front office and other third-party systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts and processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and can establish trust and credibility quickly.
  • Strong conceptual and process-focused thinking abilities.
  • Strong documentation skills such as use cases, process flow/swim lane diagrams, requirements (BRD), and UAT cases.
  • NetSuite certifications required.
  • NetSuite ARM and ZAB knowledge or experience.
  • OpenAir and Salesforce experience (nice to have).
  • Accounting background, CPA preferred.
  • Project Management experience an asset.
