Easy Apply now by clicking the "Easy Apply" button and sending us your resume.Salary $80,000 - $100,000 per yearA Bit About UsOur client, a growing and reputable manufacturing firm, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its growing team.Why join us?Responsibilities• Implementing cost accounting procedures and methods consistent with corporate guidelines and objectives.• Conducting regular audits to ensure all costs and inventory are accurately reported.• Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.• Providing management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.• Assisting in month-end close of the general ledger.• Conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.• Reviewing rates of depreciation, labor, and overhead and suggesting policy changes to improve numbers.• Working closely with the production team to understand and manage factory overhead.• Assisting in the development and implementation of new systems and procedures as needed.Job DetailsQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred.• 1+ years Cost Accounting experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.• Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems.• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards.If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in cost accounting, we would love to hear from you.
