Financial Manager (Strategic Advisory)

We are seeking a Financial Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional Financial Consultant. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of finance and/or accounting but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Responsibilities 

• Managing and advising consultant level employees
• Ability to lead smaller teams and projects based on past experience
• Analyzing financial documents to understand trends and identify inaccuracies
• Analyzing and summarizing financial data and tracing transactions
• Preparing financial analysis and modeling with experience building 3-statement type models and 13-week cash flow models
• Preparing analytical data for litigation
• Organizing and maintaining document productions for multiple engagements
• Organizing and formatting data for reports and exhibits

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required
• 5 - 8 years of experience preferred with the understanding of accounting and financial procedures
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
• Familiarity with financial research (Edgar, Reorg, Capital IQ)
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent numeracy skills with an ability to spot inaccuracies and inconsistencies
• The ability to handle confidential information
• Strong attention to detail

 Preferred Qualifications 

• “Big 4” consulting firm experience
• CPA license or working toward a CPA

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Must be able to sit for long period of time
• Must be comfortable to work in a remote and/or hybrid environment
• Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am – 5:30pm business hours if needed
• Must be flexible to travel

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $105 - $145k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
