We are looking for a top tier addition to the accounting team! The ideal fit is ambitious, curious, self-motivated and is willing to learn as they go while helping build a market leader in the consumer insights space. The Junior Staff Accountant is a primary pillar of the GAAP accounting and compliance function at Suzy and will be a critical component of delivering timely and accurate work.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the improvement of the Suzy finance/accounting team through process improvements, learning and development, and system improvements

Preparing journal entries to support accurate and timely financial reporting

Developing reconciliation procedures, reports, and schedules for balance sheet accounts

Assisting with the management of 3rd party subledgers and the connectivity of those subledgers to the accounting system (Bill.com, Divvy credit cards, American Express credit cards, etc.)

Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of all accounting entries and the resulting reporting

Assisting with the preparation and filing of reporting to ensure legal and regulatory compliance including sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, and business licensure

Assisting 3rd party auditors with the completion of the annual financial statement audit

Reviewing customer contracts for revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC606
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in GAAP accounting, including knowledge of financial statements and intermediate accounting concepts

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar desired

Advanced experience with MS-Excel is required

Experience with QuickBooks Online, bill.com, divvy is desired

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality.

The target base compensation range for this position is $72,250 - $85,000.
