As a Staff Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will analyze network requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize network performance to ensure scalability and security. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design and Implement Complex Solutions:
    Develop and deploy robust network solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Manage Infrastructure:
    Oversee the operation and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot Issues:
    Resolve highly technical network issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Optimize Performance and Security:
    Monitor and enhance network performance while implementing security best practices.
  • Collaborate on Upgrades and Expansions:
    Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
  • Document Processes:
    Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers:
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Stay Updated:
    Research and implement emerging networking technologies and trends.
  • Deploy Cloud Infrastructure:
    Design and maintain public-to-private cloud network integrations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive Troubleshooting Skills:
    Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Certifications and Experience:
    9+ years of experience as a network engineer, with current Cisco CCNP and Palo Alto certifications preferred.
  • Multi-Vendor Environment:
    Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, ASAs, and Palo Alto devices.

Network Security and Technologies:

  • Security Expertise:
    Proficient in ACLs, IPsec, SSL, traffic inspection, and DDoS mitigation.
  • Advanced Networking Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MSTP, HSRP, IPv6, and other technologies.
  • ISP Networking:
    Exposure to ISP technologies, RIRs, ISP providers, and RADb.

Cloud and Automation:

  • Cloud Integration:
    Experience with Public Cloud technologies and integrations with on-prem hardware.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    Proficient in Python, Ansible, and shell scripting for network automation.
