Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South MariettaParkway, Marietta, GA 30060.Job SummaryResponsible for the oversight of a team of Construction ProjectManagers and coordinates campus-wide design and constructionprojects. This position is essential for ensuring project alignmentwith key campus partners and creating efficiencies across multiplefiscal years.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Oversees and is responsible for the leadership of a professionalteam of design and construction project managers to ensure qualityKSU projects are completed on time and on budget.2. Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops project managementstaff.3. Implements change management practices to encourage consistentproject management methodologies.4. Responsible for developing and implementing industry bestpractice processes and procedures to ensure best value for KSU andadherence to state and Board of Regents standards andrequirements.5. Aggregates project metrics for comprehensive reporting on budgetand schedules.6. Acts as a liaison between project teams and campus partners,including divisional partners, legal, public safety, andothers.7. Oversees the selection, contracting, and management of GeneralContractors and Architects. Reviews construction contracts andparticipates in contract development and negotiations.8. Ensures adherence to university design and constructionstandards and Board of Regents standards. Reviews and approvesexceptions or adjustments to these standards.9. Continuously develops and improves project scheduling,budgeting, and record-keeping systems. Oversee project close-outprocedures and ensure proper handover to Maintenance and Operationsand other facility owners.10. Maintains positive relationships with external design andconstruction communities to facilitate consultant and contractorselection.11. Develop and manage communication protocols for all projectstakeholders, including university senior leadership, primaryproject clients, and community members.Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution of highereducation in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management ora related field.Required ExperienceSeven (7) years of relevant experiencePrevious experience managing teamsExperience and demonstrated familiarity with various constructiondelivery methodsPreferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications (e.g. LEED AP, P.E., AIA, PMP,etc)Preferred Educational QualificationsAn advanced degree from an accredited institution of highereducationPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience in higher education and/or research laboratoryconstructionExperience working within the University System of GeorgiaProposed SalaryThe budgeted salary range is $116,740 to $118,000.
