Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst who wants to delve into the insurance world. In this role, you will work within the Product Development department on our platform Axon, the solution for insurance companies to optimise their processes. As a Business Analyst, you will analyse requirements from our customers and developers and translate the requirements into user-friendly software solutions.

Key about your role

As a business analyst, you will bridge the gap between your Scrum team and our customers at insurance companies. You understand customer requirements and anticipate market developments.

You are able to communicate effectively with different types of target groups. Whether it's a design session with the customer or a technical refinement with your team. You translate requirements into solutions, fit for purpose, with an eye for quality and maintainability.

Within your team, you help define user stories to implement the changes you have designed. During implementation, you are the sparring partner for developers and testers. In sprint reviews, you present the changes to the customer and collect feedback.

Key about your team

Your team is a scrum team within the Product Development department and develops one or more modules in our Axon platform for the insurance industry. It is the responsibility of your team to deliver a high-value, high-quality product that really fits the needs of our customers.

The Claims team is responsible for all the core insurance processes surrounding claims handling. This is a very dynamic part of insurance software as claims are where our customers get their chance to prove their worth! The Claims team makes it possible to configure flexible claim report forms that can increase their efficiency with lots of automation. We also make it easy to communicate with all parties involved in the claim, and in the end make it possible to settle the claim in a way that makes their clients happy.

Key about you

  • You have a proven ability to analyse complex problems, breaking them down into smaller, actionable steps;
  • You have the capacity to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to actively listen to and understand others' perspectives;
  • You are committed to understanding our customers' needs, pain points, and expectations, and using that knowledge to drive product development and improvement;
  • You have a foundational understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies;
  • You are fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch and/or German is a plus.

Keylane offers

  • A monthly gross salary between € 3,000 and € 4,500 based on 40 hours per week.
  • 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary;
  • A profit share;
  • Travel reimbursement: a NS Business card or mileage allowance (€ 0.23 per km);
  • 24 holiday days (with the option to buy extra) and 7 inclusion days, which can be exchanged with fixed Dutch national holidays, allowing you to take them when you like;
  • A pension scheme, with the option to save extra;

  • A one-year contract that, subject to satisfactory performance, will be converted into a permanent contract;
  • Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team, you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office, a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home, you will receive a working from home allowance (€ 4 net per day) and internet allowance (€ 35 net per month);
  • The possibility of working remotely from abroad for up to 2 months per year;
