This individual will:• Lead Video Production: Oversee the internal video team and external partners, managing projects from concept to final delivery. Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain professional quality.• Content Strategy and Storytelling: Develop content plans and timelines that align with business goals, leveraging video and animation as key storytelling tools across marketing channels.• Stakeholder Collaboration and Creative Vision: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs, generate creative solutions, and bring brand stories to life in an engaging manner. Balance artistic vision with business requirements.• Resource Management and Efficiency: Manage team capacity and effectively utilize outsourcing budgets to maximize workload output.• Content and Campaign Analysis: Support marketing strategies for content and media mix across channels, working cross functionally to ensure key messages come through in a meaningful way.• Cutting-Edge Techniques and Standards: Champion best practices and cutting-edge tools within the video production team, ensuring high standards.• Effective Presentations: Lead creative meetings, presenting storyboards and timelines to pitch and secure stakeholder approval for design concepts.Key Job Responsibilities• Video Production and Strategy: Serve as a video expert, advising marketing teams on creative concepts, project execution, and best practices. Create and produce high-quality multimedia content (audio/video) for various purposes, including customer stories, internal communications, external promotions, product marketing, recruiting, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, recommend video solutions, and establish project vision, story boards, scope, shot lists, and timelines. Secure buy-in from all parties and execute the creative vision to deliver on goals, applying feedback along the way.• Plan and Execute Video Shoots: Conduct location scouting and manage crew members on-site. Travel regionally and globally (as needed) to produce, direct, or acquire video content. This includes recording and editing video and audio projects, capturing media in various settings and applications, showcasing machines in action, facilitating interviews, collecting event highlights, and more. Organize footage and apply post-production techniques to deliver a high-end product.• Oversee Project Life Cycle: Guide project kickoff meetings and production updates, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress and milestones. Develop overall video plans, delegate tasks to team members as appropriate, and ensure projects adhere to established timelines. Communicate vision, scope, and deadlines clearly to both internal and external teams. Maintain and utilize project management systems like Asana to track tasks, team capacity, and workload effectively. Motivate, coach, and develop the skills of creative and video team members and contribute to positive team culture.• Elevate Komatsu videos to inspire audiences: Take marketing media to the next level, transforming raw clips, b-roll, and video footage with content from multiple sources; adding photos, graphics, visual effects, music, sound, or voice over to produce high-quality finished videos that tell the brand story and drive communication objectives within North America.Qualifications/Requirements• Four-year related degree• 5+ years of experience – agency or in-house – directing, editing, and client consulting• Proven ability to lead creative projects: Demonstrates a strong track record of taking initiative on video concepts, leading creative direction, and managing client communication throughout the project lifecycle.• Excellent communicator and organizer: Boasts exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous organization with files, follow-up, and project execution.• Master of project management: Possesses a keen sense of timing and excels in managing design workflows.
