Lead Proposal Developer - Power & Renewables

The Opportunity

The Lead Proposal Developer will be responsible for managing the development of technical proposals and project cost estimates in collaboration with the sales and technical teams. The objective of the position is to produce high-quality competitive bids by using tools to create project deliverables and cost estimates. The Lead Proposal Developer will also have the opportunity to lead and/or participate in continuous improvements of the proposal processes and tools. This position does not have any supervisor responsibilities but may provide guidance to new team members.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead project proposal and estimating efforts; manage all aspects of proposal creation ensuring required timelines are met
  • Collaborate with technical and field teams and secure input from all necessary stakeholders to create proposal drafts (80% complete) and coordinate with technical pursuit team to finalize
  • Manage and/or facilitate subcontract elements of proposal
  • Maintain company-wide consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards; stay abreast of industry standards and best practices
  • Ensure integrity of CRM data for opportunities in the Develop stage
  • Collaborate with clients and their procurement teams in conjunction with the sales team
  • Lead internal kickoff meetings and participate in external client meetings as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Expect from You

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Technology (Bachelors or Associates)
  • 6-10 years of experience in proposals, sales, or project management in the power or renewables markets
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and external stakeholders
  • Client-centric oriented behavior
  • Preferred project management professional (PMP or APMP) training or certification
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $98,000*
  • The salary displayed represents the middle of a range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
