About the Role: The Sales Development Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team's ability to reach more customers by completing administrative tasks, assisting with customer contact, and helping streamline the sales processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Sales Support

  • Assist the Sales team in creating/updating quotes, fulfilling sample requests, ordering materials for field sales, and following up with customer requests.
  • Work daily with Territory Managers (TMs) and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to rigorously document sales-related activity in the CRM, allowing the sales team to track their interactions with prospects and customers, ensuring that opportunities are consistently moved towards closure.
  • Assist in the creation of Salesforce cases for new customers (i.e., Digital Implementation, Customer Services, etc.), keeping opportunity stages, close dates, and next steps up to date.
  • Work with Marketing Operations to assign leads to the appropriate team member and assist in follow-up.

Sales Development

  • Conduct research to validate prospects/customers' contact information to support sales-initiated campaigns.
  • Proactively engage prospects via email and outgoing calls, setting meetings with decision-makers.
  • Contribute to the success of local tradeshows by supporting logistics and lead follow-up.
  • Collaborate with TMs and CSMs to ensure that incoming leads are contacted within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Align strategies and share insights with the sales, customer success, and marketing teams.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on improving processes and strategies.
  • Track and report on key metrics, such as contacts made, leads generated, and appointments set.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system.
  • Initiate contact with Marketing Qualified Leads and coordinate meetings with sales.
  • Follow up with leads not yet ready to make a purchase decision, nurturing relationships with potential customers.

Sales Operations Coordination

  • Collaborate with the sales team to execute the territory sales strategy.
  • Work alongside Sales Operations to address CRM data hygiene issues.
  • Route and support incoming customer inquiries and cases to Sales/Customer Success (Customer Outreach Box).
  • Support sales operational requests from assigned sales team members (Global Support Queue).
  • Track and report key metrics in CRM for assigned teams, including contacts made, leads generated, and appointments set.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, sales operations, or a related field
  • Previous experience in cold calling, lead generation, or sales outreach (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets for tracking and reporting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently (with direction) and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities
