Staff are encouraged to participate in our unit-based council or one of the many council opportunities.Unit Summary:The Mother-Infant Unit at Lowell General Hospital consists of an interdisciplinary team of specialists that provide postpartum care and support to new parents. The Post Partum unit welcomes an average of 2,300 newborns and their families annually. With 22 private rooms and accommodations for the mother’s support person. The RN provides postpartum and post-operative care along with education on caring for newborns.
