Lowe's is hiring for Sales Associate - HardwareWhat You Will Do:As a Sales Associate in the Hardware department at Lowe's, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked department. This means:• Providing Expert Assistance: Assisting customers with hardware product selection, including tools, fasteners, and other hardware items, ensuring they receive the best solutions for their home improvement projects.• Maintaining Product Knowledge: Staying informed about the latest hardware products, tools, and technologies to provide accurate information and recommendations.• Processing Transactions: Accurately processing sales transactions, validating loading tickets, and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise.• Engaging in Safe Practices: Promoting and adhering to safe work practices, and encouraging others to do the same to maintain a safe shopping environment.• Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: Listening to customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to ensure a positive shopping experience.Responsibilities:• Help customers with selecting hardware products, including tools, fasteners, and accessories.• Provide product information and recommendations based on customer needs.• Maintain knowledge of hardware tools, materials, and safety standards.• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.• Validate loading tickets and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.• Stock shelves and maintain the hardware department's cleanliness and organization.• Assist customers in locating products and answer questions regarding usage.• Promote and practice safe work habits to ensure a safe shopping environment.• Report any safety or security concerns to management.What We're Looking For:• Hourly Full-Time or Part-Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours per week for full-time or up to 25 hours per week for part-time; more hours may be required based on store needs.• Availability: Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week.• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.• Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.What You Need To Succeed:Minimum Qualifications:• 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.• 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.Preferred Qualifications:• 6 months of sales experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including add-on sales and explaining product features and benefits.• 6 months of retail experience providing customer service, including resolving customer issues and assisting customers in locating products.• Certification in trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, tools).• Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the store.Lowe's is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
