LPA is seeking a passionate Healthcare Project Designer to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, master planners, and researchers in our Healthcare practice. As a member of our Healthcare team, you will impact a broad variety of innovative, futuristic, local, sustainable, and high performing projects including cancer centers, outpatient facilities, ground up hospital campuses, medical office buildings, Behavioral Health, and more.

What you will do:

  • Lead ideation with client and project teams

  • Engage all disciplines and stakeholders from the earliest stages to develop conceptual and schematic design of assigned projects using an informed process.

  • Facilitate presentation of design and other project documents to client for review and approval, with other project team members.

  • Preside at design meetings, presentations and activities specific to assigned project

  • Participate in firmwide design charrettes

  • Engage all disciplines and stakeholders from the earliest stages to develop conceptual and schematic design of assigned projects using an informed process

  • You will be working on cancer centers, outpatient facilities, ground up hospital campuses, medical office buildings, Behavioral Health and Wellness Centers, etc.

  • Cultivate and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with clients, builders, governing authorities, stakeholders and team members.

  • Work in unison with the Managing Director, Design Director and Project Manager to lead the project design and develop innovative design solutions

  • Mentor design team and communicate with Project Designers, Project Leaders and Principals to ensure LPA’s design standards and processes are fully understood and brought to fruition.

  • Provide mentorship from Managing Directors and Design Directors as well as other in-house disciplines on all projects

  • Provide study grants for exploration – Catapult, LPA Foundation, others.

 

Healthcare Project Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Interior Design

  • 10+ years of experience in all phases of interior Healthcare Inpatient and Outpatient Projects.

  • Certified Interior Designer or Licensed Architect

  • Proficiency in Revit. Experience with Rhino preferred.

  • Knowledge in management of project business: scope, fee, schedule, work plans, resource management, and budget

  • In-depth knowledge of HCAI/ OSHPD regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure construction meets HCAI/ OSHPD and other AHJ standards.

  • Strong Organization and multitasking abilities

  • Manage risk and implement mitigation strategies

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $150,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
