Are you passionate about data and excited to explore how it powers decision-making in the venture capital world? Join our team this summer as a Data Analyst Intern. This opportunity is open to rising undergraduate seniors and current graduate students eager to dive into data analytics, network mapping, and process design within a fast-paced investment environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Internship:

Analytical Acumen:
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data sets into actionable insights and frameworks.

Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Experience working with structured and unstructured data sets.

Data Structuring Experience:
Experience with organizing, cleaning, and modeling datasets for scalability and repeatability.

CRM Familiarity:
Comfort working with CRM and network mapping tools like Salesforce, Airtable, Notion, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Communication and Process Thinking:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document processes clearly and propose scalable systems for cross-functional use.

Interest in Venture Ecosystems:
Genuine curiosity about venture capital, startups, and how data can drive strategic connectivity and investment outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Network Data Analysis:
Conduct an in-depth analysis of our existing relationship and connectivity data to uncover insights and surface high-impact network opportunities.

Market and Ecosystem Research:
Support tagging and segmentation of network data by conducting vertical-specific market research aligned with key investment themes.

Process Design:
Help create scalable systems for structuring and tagging our network data—designing processes to support repeatable use and growth across the firm.

Scalable Data Strategy:
Collaborate with the team to recommend approaches for institutionalizing structured data practices and integrating your work into M13’s existing systems.

Key Deliverables:

• ICP Analysis Report: Defined Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and insights into network connectivity and influence.

• Structured Data Model: A repeatable framework for tagging and organizing network relationships.

• Process Documentation: A detailed guide for how network data should be collected, cleaned, tagged, and maintained at scale.

• Implementation Plan: A roadmap for integrating these systems and practices into M13’s workflows and tools.
