Operates cold heading machines to form parts as specified by work order, blueprints, IPIR, control plan, and all applicable SWIs. Responsible for minor setups (i.e. length changes within family group). Must best be mechanically inclined.
Under general supervision, sets-up and operates machines to produce parts according to specifications, blueprints, and control plans.
Essential Functions:
- Sets-up and operates machine per standard work instructions.
- Ensures that heading and secondary operations are done according to print.
- Ensures hourly checks and all inspection processes are followed.
- Actively participate in 6S events to ensure appropriate workplace organization, cleanliness and safety.
- Must be able to find run instructions for equipment, control plans, and understands internal and external customer awareness.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to perform basic math functions.
- Able to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the company.
- Able to perform visual and manual inspection using comparator, micrometers and gauges.
- Must be mechanically inclined
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs.) and some bending.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school degree or GED.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of comparable manufacturing experience
Schedule:
- Candidate will train on 1st shift or 2nd Shift before starting on the shift hired for
- Permanent shift will be 3rd shift.

Pay: $19.13 - $24.47 per hour
