Job Responsibilities:
Mission of the Position:
Work with the Engineering Business Office: Assists group office team with data research/entry, comparative analysis, cooperation between product engineering teams / project teams, and communications within product engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and utilize Magna business planning tools to support quotation process
Upkeep of engineering quotation database
Track quotations through approval process
Improve Quote status reporting using internal tools for automation
Support eQuote Manager to prepare reports showing eQuote costs distribution by competency, region and product
Participate in resource development process
Work within Magna portfolio management tool (PlanView) to keep all planned projects up to date and aligned with the latest business plan
Support Resource Manager to create reports for resource utilization, resource competency maps and resource requirement
Support annual update of engineering competency record
Develop employee surveys seeking feedback on IT tools and business processes.
Support the Magna Powertrain product engineering Planview implementation team as needed:
DS Portfolio Active Lifecycle Step Cleanup
PLM integration
Moving projects to the correct GPMS gates
Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949).
Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school.
Understand the basics of engineering theory and principles of design
Knowledge in computer based software, strong organizational/communication skills, and ability to work with others in a team environment.

Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution.
Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF 16949).
Drive the development of new technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost.
Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.
