Expectations:

The Manager provides leadership and supervision to line staff by coordinating day-to-day activities that support the operational goals and initiatives of the Hospital. Managers typically have oversight for department(s) or defined initiatives within the organization. Managers are responsible for ensuring staff compliance with hospital policies and meeting regulatory requirements within their assigned areas. This position is responsible for the Emergency Room Patient Access Staff in delivering superior care to every patient on every visit. You will assist the Associate Patient Access Director in daily operations of all Emergency Room and Main Admitting functions; scheduling, pre-registration, verification, pre-certification, financial counseling, admissions and registration. This position acts as the facility liaison between the patient and patient care advocate. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent related experience. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Five years of related healthcare experience. High-level managerial experience, preferably in centralized scheduling, registration or insurance verification. Recent system conversion experience a plus.
