The Opportunity: 


We're scaling our Sales Development team to amplify our scale across Japan to help IT and Technology leaders recognize Datadog’s impact in their digital transformation and migration to the cloud. We’re searching for a manager to lead our Sales Development Representatives in Japan who will have the opportunity to hire, mentor, support and grow this team. This role will impact one of the largest lines of business in the company through lead generation and sales pipeline volume, as well as helping to mold and foster the next future Account Executives and leaders in our sales organization.

 

You Will: 


  •  Manage and mentor a team of Sales Development Representatives
  •  Take the lead in hiring, interviewing and onboarding new team members
  •  Coach Sales Development Representatives on how to assess potential customers, cater strategically to each prospect, manage potential objections, all in order to set new business meetings for the Sales team
  •  Motivate individuals and team to exceed monthly and quarterly objectives through coaching and creative incentives
  •  Prepare Sales Development Representatives for future responsibilities as Account Executives within the Datadog sales organization
  •  Develop and maintain accurate team forecasts for senior leadership team

 

You Are: 


  •  Experienced in 2+ years of direct sales in the software industry
  •  Motivated by helping people grow
  •  Passionate about coaching, mentorship and team management
  •  Able to manage and work across multiple departments
  •  Outstanding at communication, organizational and time management skills
  •  A self-starter with the ability to work in a high-growth, rapidly changing marketplace
  •  Fluent in Japanese

 

Bonus Points:


  •  Previous experience as a Sales Development Representative or SDR Manager
  •  Experience in Cloud monitoring or similar tech space
