Marketing and Communications Director

A Land O'Lakes member owner cooperative is adding a Marketing and Communications Director to their team in New Hampton, Iowa!

The Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for developing and maintaining various forms of internal and external communications for the company. This includes, but is not limited to creating brochures, flyers, business cards, announcements, etc. This position is responsible for developing and strengthening the brand and image of the Cooperative through various marketing and communications media. You will build a brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content.

You will develop content strategies, grow an online community and track that community’s growth, and assist sales initiatives through marketing and communications. This position will work with all departments, supporting teams, and vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget. Will be responsible for maintaining our social media presence across all digital channels and measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.

This position will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative, upholding a favorable image of the Cooperative at all times.

Qualifications: Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field preferred
  • Experience may be substituted for education Experience:
  • Adept at keywork placement and SEO best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Highly computer literate and advanced knowledge of HTML
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems
  • Experience with social media management
  • Creativity and ability to develop original content
  • Ability to develop content that provokes engagement
  • Strong Google Analytics, Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator or photoshop skills
  • Good customer service skills and approach necessary
  • Ag background a plus
