Role Overview
The Manager of Platform Innovations at Mastercard is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and optimization of platforms that enhance global brand strategy and innovation. This crucial role focuses on driving the evolution and operational efficiency of platforms supporting brand innovation, creative workflows, and cross-functional alignment, aligning with Mastercard’s global vision.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Scoping:
• Conduct technical requirements gathering and validate resources and requirements with external partners, ensuring seamless platform integration.
• Brief partners and suppliers on integration needs for innovative merchandising solutions.

Scoping & Procurement:
• Manage terms and services to meet concept and project requirements effectively.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new partners and manage contractual negotiations, ensuring compliance with Mastercard standards.

Production & Project Management:
• Lead regular status meetings and oversee the integration of innovative technologies into existing platforms.
• Ensure the design and procurement processes align with brand guidelines and regional market needs.

Activation Footprint Considerations:
• Determine technical and logistical setups required for deployment of new platform features, including hardware and connectivity needs.

Testing:
• Oversee comprehensive testing phases to ensure seamless integration and functionality of new platform features.

On-site Execution:
• Manage the setup and operation of project implementations on-site, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any issues in real-time.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential Skills:
• Experience in program management, market execution, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.
• A data-driven approach to decision-making, with a robust ability to analyze performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging internal and external partners effectively.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while juggling multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in relevant industries such as technology, fintech, or digital payments.
• Proven experience working with global teams and managing large-scale initiatives.
• Strong familiarity with Mastercard platforms, partnerships, and strategic market entry strategies.
• Multilingual proficiency is beneficial, depending on the region assigned.
Time Expectation & Commitment:
• Regular engagement with local market teams, partners, and Mastercard’s global and regional leadership is expected.
• Travel within the assigned region as necessary for partner meetings, events, and direct project oversight.
• A thorough understanding of digital commerce, fintech, and related technological landscapes.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
