ACT/SAT Test Prep Instructor - Part-Time

Reach the students who need it the most with high-impact test preparation.

Are you passionate about making a difference in students’ lives? Do you have the skills to bring curriculum to life and inspire young minds? MasteryPrep is looking for an engaging individual who can bring our mastery-based ACT/SAT curriculum to life for students in 9th-12th grade at Episcopal Private School of Baton Rouge. This rewarding role does not require prior test-prep experience, but prior teaching experience is preferred. Comprehensive training and ongoing support from our Instructional Coaches will equip you with the tools and guidance needed for success. The teaching schedule will allow the ideal candidate flexibility, along with security and consistency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teach MasteryPrep’s ACT/SAT curriculum in-person during regular school hours.
  • Engage and motivate students to achieve their highest potential.
  • Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in initial training and ongoing professional development.

Additional Specifications:

  • This is a part-time role, working in-person during the regular school day.
  • Instructors are MasteryPrep part-time employees, working within the schools.
  • Content and lesson plans have been developed by MasteryPrep.
  • Compensation for this position includes instructional time, prep time, and driving time

  • Ability to facilitate instruction in all ACT/SAT subject areas (English, Math, Reading and Science) 
  • Must be able to navigate school facilities that may or may not be ADA-compliant
  • Must pass a background check 
  • Teaching experience preferred but not required
  • Test Prep experience preferred but not required
  • This position does NOT require a teaching certification

This is a part-time role. Compensation is $1,200 bi-weekly.
