POSITION TITLE: Material Handler
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, ISP, AV, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Material Handler to oversee and support the warehouse and material handling needs for our operational teams within a construction environment. The ideal candidate will be approachable and customer centric, takes pride in the work they do, and can build relationships with internal team members and external partners. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all materials, tools, and equipment within a warehouse and yard
  • Order construction site materials and supplies when requested
  • Ability to safely operate a mini excavator, forklift, and other various heavy equipment
  • Ability to utilize excel to track the checking in and out of materials and equipment
  • Keep warehouse and yard organized and clean
  • Be a dependable partner with internal construction crews and external sub-contractors for all their material and equipment needs, including loading equipment and materials upon request
  • Occasionally deliver materials to project sites when requested
  • Provides general maintenance to the offices and facilities within ADB
  • Maintains outside yards and sidewalks including but not limited to weed eating, mowing, snow removal, filling potholes within the yard, exterior cleaning, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, standing, walking and driving.
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, cold/ freezing, humid and/or rainy spring, summer, winter and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
  • Must wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats when working on-site

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 2+ years’ experience in material and/or inventory management required
  • 2+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment (certifications a plus)
  • Valid Driver License Required (Class A CDL preferred or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Max Pay for this Position: $24 an hour
