Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive warehouse support to Proterra’s Materials Manager and other site leadership team members. You will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operation of the warehouse, working closely with shipping and receiving for Inbound/Outbound shipments in order to obtain best pricing and service. This role will also manage consumption of material, record keeping and inventory maintenance.
About the Role – You Will:
- Perform all receiving within the Oracle and the Mobile Device System and coordinates the parts Put-Away; Perform the daily cycle counting process involving the set-up with Oracle, counting and updating.
- Assist with parts picking for shipment and complete appropriate paperwork to ship the product; Work with team members to maintain continuous workflow.
- Filing and maintaining of all receipt pack-lists.
- Set-up of daily out-going shipments through the Echo Logistics Web-based system.
- Assist with putting together kits to be delivered to each station and insure that each item is accounted for and any issues are documented and researched; Organize complex work assignments and operate independently within procedural guidelines and management directives.
- Perform all inventory adjustments with Oracle and research the root cause of inventory discrepancies; Maintain bin and location set-up within Oracle.
- Create and maintain reports used for the Warehouse Metric Board; Track and research trends with supplier shortages and supplier quality.
- Monitor physical inventory levels and make sure they match what is showing in Oracle; Maintain and assure accuracy of all DOT driver logs.
- Maintain files for each bus being build and work closely with production line to insure the bus is ready to ship.
- Close-out of Work Orders for Sub-Assemblies, Battery’s and Fast-Charge when components are ready to ship and work with Supply Chain Logistics for shipping of these Work Orders.
- Track, monitor and report dead or non-moving parts within Oracle; Report list of dead stock to Management for obsoleting purposes.
- Track, monitor, and create reporting for parts in multiple locations for combining of like-parts.
- Maintain and report all material shortages as noted at Picking and Kit Carting; Issues materials to departments within the organization upon request, including transacting inventory quantities to the department and delivering the parts to the work area.
- Perform 5S duties within the Warehouse; Other duties as assigned.

- This position will be part of the Greenville based Warehouse and Materials team that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations in Greenville, SC.
- You will report to the Materials Manager and collaborate with other Warehouse and Materials team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in warehousing or materials or equivalent related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with pallet jacks, dollies and related equipment.
- Physical Demands:
- May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
- Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
- Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
- Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
- Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
- Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
- Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
You might also have:
- Knowledge of the Proterra inventory database is a plus.
