THE OPPORTUNITY Enterprise Architect RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership : Provide visionary guidance in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable web and backend architectures for applications supporting the firms bold growth and relentless scalability goals. Artificial Intelligence Integration : Lead the exploration and implementation of AI technologies to enhance our applications, identifying opportunities where AI can drive efficient and innovative business outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Foster strong partnerships across departments and teams, promoting alignment and synergy between IT and other business units to achieve organizational objectives. Organizational Leadership : Play a key role in organizational leadership by contributing to strategic decision-making processes and influencing the technology direction of the firm. Collaborative Innovation : Partner with senior business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand strategic objectives, conduct product assessments, build prototypes, and develop comprehensive solutions that leverage AI and other emerging technologies to drive business growth. Technology Roadmap Development : Influence and contribute to the firm's technology strategy and roadmap, staying abreast of emerging technologies, including AI, to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Project Oversight: Lead strategic technology initiatives that advance the firm's objectives and drive innovation. Focus on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing risk, and automating manual, labor-intensive tasks. Oversee the development of scalable platforms and reusable solutions that improve data workflows and processes across the organization. Champion the creation of common frameworks, tools, and integrations that address shared challenges and can be leveraged throughout the technology stack to support the firm's technological growth. Lifecycle Management : Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, managing source control, and leading build processes and testing methodologies. Team Leadership and Development : Mentor and lead development teams and technical leaders, fostering an environment of skill growth, continuous improvement, and high performance. Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the team. Architectural Governance : Collaborate with IT Architects and the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure architectural consistency, governance, and adoption of best practices across the firm. Stakeholder Communication : Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts, including AI-related initiatives, into actionable business terms. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Extensive Experience : Minimum of 12 years in systems development, with at least 6 years focused on system design and architecture. Artificial Intelligence Expertise : Proven experience in implementing AI and machine learning solutions, understanding of AI frameworks, and ability to identify and leverage AI opportunities within the firm. Strategic Planning Skills : Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and leading large-scale technology initiatives. Technical Proficiency : Solid understanding of cloud and data architecture, distributed systems, software design patterns, and AI technologies. Cloud Expertise : Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS, SaaS applications, RESTful APIs, SQL, relational databases, and implementing cloud solutions. Programming Skills : Highly proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, and .NET, with a strong understanding of database programming objects like SQL functions and procedures. Leadership Experience : Proven experience leading and managing software development teams, including working with offshore/vendor partners and managing cross-functional teams. Agile Methodology Experience : Demonstrated experience with Agile software development methodologies, including leading Agile teams and applying Agile principles to project management. Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams, fostering a culture of cooperation and shared success. Organizational Leadership : Experience in organizational leadership roles, contributing to strategic decision-making and influencing technology direction at the enterprise level. Analytical Skills : Exceptional ability to understand complex system interactions and dependencies. Tool Familiarity : Knowledgeable in Microsoft SQL Server, static and dynamic code analysis, continuous integration, test automation tools, and AI development frameworks. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
