From French's Classic Yellow Mustard, long America ‘stop-selling mustard, to its most recent innovations, such as French's Ketchup, the company has a history rich with delicious creations made from what today would be considered “clean, simple ingredients.” To learn more please visit us at www.frenchs.com.Position OverviewUnder the general direction of the Hygiene Lead and/or QA Manager, the Sanitation Crew Leader will work in a High-Performance Organization Operating Model environment providing daily direction setting to the Sanitation team assigning work activities to sanitors to promote an efficient, team-bases environment.Responsibilities• Work closely with Hygiene Lead and/or QA Manger directing day to day activities, assigning work duties and trouble-shooting problems.• Crew Leader will be responsible for addressing minor performance concerns, while bringing major concerns directly to the manager.• Tracking of attendance points for each member and communicating, as needed.• Offer constructive feedback for employee, where applicable.• Facilitating training for employees and document their progress and keep accurate records.• Identify training needs for employees and address, as needed.• Drive and facilitate MSS completion for the sanitation team and site (i.e. Processing, FFO and Warehouse departments).• Partnering with operations teams to prevent production stoppages.• Involvement in cross-functional Production/ Maintenance/Materials Management team meeting, as needed• Aid in performance metrics tracking as they relate to Sanitation (i.e. MSS Completion rates, Sanitation & Allergen validation, etc.) and work collaboratively with various levels of Operations to correct problems and improve process.• Ensure Sanitation supplies are kept in stock and ordered as needed.• Order sanitation supplies for the site, as needed.• Ensure budget for FH05 is followed, notifying Hygiene Lead and/or QA Manager of any payment issues or overspend.• Ability to work overtime on a short notice and required weekend work.• Ability to be flexible with shift and workday assignments to support business need requirements.• Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions using a principle-based safety approach.• Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications• Uses judgement based on the analysis of information.• Strong understanding and practice of Good Manufacturing Practices• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information.• Expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of technical experience and review of precedents.• Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange complicated information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.• Demonstrate McCormick’s High Performance Organization Competencies: Values All People, Strategic Thinking, Influence, Personal & Team Leadership, Attracting & Developing Talent, Innovation & Business Savvy & Acumen.• Acceptable Attendance RequiredPreferred Qualifications• Highschool Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.• College coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, etc. (or 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting)• Strong understanding of SAP transactions (Quality focused) and SAP results/dataFrench's is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
