RHI Magnesita is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Team Leader in York,PA!

This dynamic position will lead, manage, and perform tasks to support the engineering operations.

This position full time report to the Plant Manager York. The Mechanical Engineer Team Leader will travel both domestically and internationally with about 10% travel time.

The Mechanical Engineer Team Leader’s tasks include:

• Plan, design and estimate the time and cost of projects
• Oversee construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, equipment
• Analyze the maintenance process, evaluate operational conditions, define variations in material
• Evaluate mechanical designs and specifications by service providers to determine feasibility
• Design processes, integrate systems and troubleshoot
• Lead and engage direct reports, ensuring their competencies and career growth needs are addressed. Manage employee life cycle activities including hiring/onboarding, training, career development, goal setting & performance management.
• Engage people, give direction and drive transformation
• Follow and advocate for all policies and practices
• Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects
• Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources
• Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software
• Creative thinking and innovation

About you

Do you have:

• 4 year degree in related field
• 8 years of experience in fast-paced work environment
• Ability to interact with staff, employees and visitors in a pleasant, professional demeanor
• Ability to analyze and summarize data and find solutions to administrative problems
• Experience with OSHA or MSHA requirements preferred
• Can work independently
• Process improvement driven
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent Problem solving and organizational skills
