THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Principal DevOps Engineer, Medical Home Network (MHN) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the design, automation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and development workflows. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in DevOps practices who is eager to grow in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

  • Hybrid schedule: Candidates within 50 miles of Chicago are expected to work onsite 2 days per week and remotely for 3 days. Fully remote options are available for candidates located outside this area.


What You Can Look Forward To

Infrastructure Support
  • Assist in building and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Support infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.

Automation and Tooling
  • Automate routine tasks and infrastructure deployments to improve consistency and reduce manual work.

CI/CD Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the continuous integration and delivery of software.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support code deployments and release processes.

Monitoring and Observability
  • Implement and support monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
  • Help ensure application and infrastructure reliability and performance.

Collaboration & Best Practices
  • Work closely with engineers and QA to troubleshoot issues and improve deployment processes.
  • Follow and promote DevOps best practices across the engineering team.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Required Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
