Mission Bit is seeking a remote Teaching Assistant for their Intro to Web Design class in Spring 2025, focusing on community building and student support in a project-based learning environment.
Responsibilities: Foster a supportive classroom community, track student progress, and manage classroom behavior while collaborating with instructional staff.
Skills: Experience working with youth, strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and comfort in diverse environments.
Qualifications: Experience in HTML/CSS or coding languages, familiarity with project-based and culturally relevant teaching, and bilingual in multiple languages are preferred.
Location: Remote, based in San Francisco Bay Area
Compensation: $23 - $23 / Hourly
Mission Bit is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that inspires youth of color to explore the world of STEM with project-based computer science education that embraces their identities. We offer a variety of hands-on STEM education programs, including semester-long introductory coding courses.
As a Teaching Assistant for our Intro to Web Design class, you’ll promote a welcoming and supportive class community, foster productive collaboration, track student progress, and help students realize their potential.
