HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT, McGovern Institute for Brain Research, to provide high-level support to the McGovern Institute HR business partner across various human resource facets. Will operate with minimal supervision and leverage comprehensive understanding of policies and resources; oversee appointments and renewals, create appointment letters, manage electronic personnel files, and process J1 visa paperwork for the international scholar population; play a crucial role in onboarding processes; maintain databases; collaborate on diverse HR projects; and contribute to the overall success of a dynamic team by identifying trends and fostering continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years’ relevant experience; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to see the big picture; discretion, tact, and excellent judgment with confidential matters; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, email, and the internet; and willingness to learn other platforms. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and resolve problems within own operations; prioritize and handle multiple tasks and bring them to completion; initiative and be proactive; interact effectively with a diverse group of people; work as part of a team; and adapt to sometimes high-pressure, constantly changing situations. Will work in the office four days a week with one day remote after training. There is potential for working two days remotely after six months of employment.
