We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities within the company, including managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly analytical individual with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial systems and processes, and a proven track record in financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all financial activities, including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory reconciliation
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
  • Work with department managers on detailed financial reporting and cost containment and process improvements
  • Develop and implement internal controls and policies to ensure financial integrity
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee sales tax filings
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Ecommerce experience in a finance role
  • 3 years minimum experience as a Controller or similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
