Molecule is at the heart of the Decentralized Science (DeSci) movement where biotech and blockchain meet to democratize scientific research, earning recognition and support from key figures in the web3 world, including Vitalik ButerinBalaji, and Juan Benet. We're known for creating VitaDAO, the first and largest biotech DAO with more than $4m in funding deployed, bio.xyz, a vital hub supporting and building biotech DAOs, the IP-NFT, a protocol bringing rights to IP and R&D data on-chain, and IPTs, ERC-20 tokens minted from IP-NFTs to allow token holders to construct and cultivate valuable IP. We’ve also recently launched launchpad, a platform to launch, discover, and fund the best projects in DeSci.

Your Role

As a key member of our Science Business Development team, you will drive the recruitment and partnership strategies that fuel the growth of BIO DAOs. You'll play an instrumental role in attracting top-tier scientific talent, building relationships with academic institutions, and managing industry events to elevate BIO's mission. Your efforts will shape the future of science innovation by creating sustainable pipelines of research talent and fostering meaningful collaborations within the scientific community. Your expertise will guide the recruitment journey from outreach to onboarding, ensuring the successful integration of distinguished scientists into our ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing


Talent Acquisition

  • Identify and recruit distinguished scientists to establish new DAOs and join existing ones

  • Develop comprehensive talent pipelines through multiple channels including direct outreach, events, and referrals

  • Execute end-to-end recruitment processes from initial contact through successful DAO launch

  • Generate industry reports, documents, copy, ads, and other marketing materials that would attract scientists to BIO

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of recruitment processes and outcomes

Academic Partnership Development

  • Establish and manage strong relationships with leading academic institutions to create a sustainable pipeline of high-quality research and science talent.

  • Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and research groups to create opportunities for engagement and recruitment.

  • Design and implement engagement programs specific to academic institutions

  • Organize and conduct campus visits and virtual recruitment sessions

  • Create opportunities for meaningful collaboration between academia and BIO DAOs

Industry Event Management & Partnerships

  • Working with industry trade shows and organizations such as SynBioBeta to represent BIO, it’s vision and progress, as well as recruiting talent from these venues.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry organizations and event organizers

  • Work with the team to plan and execute targeted recruitment events for scientific talent

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations about BIO's vision and opportunities

  • Collaborate with partners to host specialized events for potential DAO founders

Community & Advisory Board Management

  • Build and manage a scientific advisory council for DAOs and BIO

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing scientific advisors

  • Create systems for regular engagement and updates with the advisory network

  • Leverage advisory relationships to expand recruitment reach

Pipeline Management

  • Implement and maintain CRM systems for tracking recruitment and partnership activities

  • Develop and optimize lead management processes

  • Create detailed documentation and presentations for recruitment efforts

  • Ensure successful onboarding and integration of new scientists into the ecosystem

  • Track and report on key metrics related to recruitment and partnerships

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific background or equivalent experience in scientific community management

  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management

  • Established relationships with universities and scientific hubs

  • Experience in sales or business development with demonstrated closing ability

  • Excellence in relationship building and stakeholder management

  • Track record of meeting ambitious recruitment targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant scientific field

  • Experience working with scientific advisory boards

  • Understanding of Web3 and DeSci principles

  • Previous experience in academic partnership development
