Business Operations Manager

We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to join the Moonsong Labs team and help support our business  operations for our engineering services and venture studio businesses.  Moonsong Labs is a web3 protocol engineering services and venture studio business.  We have deep expertise in developing software to support blockchain implementations.  Our venture studio incubates new projects building developer infrastructure protocols.  We are best known for our work on the project Moonbeam, a parachain that is part of the Polkadot network that implements an Ethereum compatible environment and natively supports cross chain use cases.

The ideal candidate has experience with financial analysis, planning, and operations, but is also willing to play a supporting role across legal, hr, and other operational areas.  Knowledge of the blockchain and crypto space is highly desirable as is experience working in a high tech or software environment. Experience in operations at a fast-paced, high-growth company undertaking roles that require flexibility and high attention to detail.  A successful candidate will get the opportunity to shape and develop the business operations function of a leading company in web3 and crypto space, with a reputation for shipping and incubating highly secure and functional protocol software projects. • Serves as the key cross-functional point-person that leads, engages and interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and execute on new and existing business opportunities.
• Work directly with Engineering team leads (including CTO, Principal Engineering Manager, Tech Leads, and Technical Program Managers) on current and future project planning and overall resource allocations. Ensure projects are appropriately staffed to satisfy customer needs while optimizing headcount and team size.
• Support contracting process for customer, grant, vendor, and other agreements.
• Assist with HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee inquiries.
• Support senior management with operational support, policy / process implementation, and other needs.
• Support incubated projects in the Venture Studio with formation, business operations, and other needs.
• Communicate regularly and clearly with other team members and also with other customers and vendors.

• Undergraduate degree required, business or computer science major preferred.
• Experience working in fast-paced environment and managing complex projects 
• 2-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities from a business and financial perspective.
• Good writing skills with an ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.
• Must be efficient in Excel and have a basic understanding of programming concepts.
• Interest in the crypto and blockchain space.
• Strong attention to detail while working well under pressure.
