The work we do here matters.Department OverviewThe Portfolio Operations Team at Motorola Solutions drives the strategic development and implementation of business systems, with a focus on Enterprise solutions. The team is responsible for system stability, security, scalability, interoperability, and performance specific to Salesforce CRM and all supporting tools and technologies. Portfolio Ops also enables and streamlines orderability and fulfillment processes within the Motorola Solutions ecosystem, and develops analytics to monitor performance and pinpoint improvement opportunities.Job DescriptionThe Order Operations Manager will play a critical role in streamlining and managing the intercompany order-to-cash process. This role is responsible for overseeing the flow of orders between various acquisition entities operating within the Motorola Solutions ecosystem. This includes ensuring orders are booked correctly in the system, reconciled regularly to ensure alignment and addressing and resolving discrepancies as they arise. The Order Ops Mgr will also identify process gaps, and look for ways to remove friction points through process redesign and automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales operations, order management, and deal structuring, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:• Serve as a key contact for sales teams on intercompany opportunity management, quoting, approvals, orders and backlog, contract and fulfillment processes, reviewing deals for accuracy and completeness.• Review non-standard pricing, terms and conditions, involving legal and finance teams as needed to ensure deal aligns with intercompany order guidelines.• Manage the intercompany order queue, prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure smooth and efficient order flow.• Track customer migrations between legal entity paper ensuring product, order value, billing, and revenue recognition are accurately reflected, while also minimizing any impacts to the customer.• Monitor upcoming intercompany renewals, developing an understanding of nuances between auto-renewals and manual renewals and how to surface past due renewals to the correct teams.• Assist renewals team with updating status of Intercompany renewals and confirming price increases, upsell/cross-sell, downsell, or churn; in the event of a churn, also ensuring paperwork is updated to notify services teams to shut down service.• Support Sales Ops and Incentive Teams with reporting on intercompany logged orders for commission payout substantiation.• Ensure alignment of Salesforce CRM and the MSI contracts module, conducting periodic reconciliation activities that validate contract start/end dates and order values between systems.• Engage with Project Managers, Deployment teams, other stakeholders to ensure products are being deployed in a timely fashion; provide updates on expected deployment dates to finance to enhance revenue forecast accuracy.• Act as a subject matter expert on project teams focusing on overall intercompany order management process and user experience.• Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs to better enable users and support teams.• Generate reports and analysis to support decision-making and provide visibility into order processing activities.Required Skills and Experience:• 5+ years of experience in sales operations, order management, or deal desk roles.• Experience in a SaaS or technology company.• Advanced knowledge of pricing strategies and contract negotiation.• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)• Familiarity with CPQ (Configure Price Quote) and order management systems and tools.• Proven experience in managing complex sales orders and deal structuring, international order handling experience a plus.• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and financial controls.• Excellent organizational and project management skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.Note: Candidate can reside anywhere in the US.#LI-MP2#LI-REMOTEBasic Requirements• 5+ years of experience in sales operations, order management, and/or deal desk roles.• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
