Director of Product Management

Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

Working at Natcast represents an opportunity to help extend America’s leadership in semiconductor technology, significantly reduce the time and cost of moving from idea to commercialization, and build and sustain a semiconductor workforce development ecosystem.

Director of Product Management, NSTC Capabilities 

Tempe, AZ  

In this role you will drive Natcast's product strategy, developing innovative offerings that both advance America's semiconductor ecosystem and create sustainable earned revenue streams supporting NSTC's long-term mission. 

Every day you will meet with industry representatives, analyze market opportunities and industry needs, translating deep semiconductor ecosystem insights into compelling product offerings while balancing commercial viability with Natcast's public mission. 

To thrive in this role you must combine tangible semiconductor market knowledge with strategic product development expertise, demonstrating both technical understanding and business acumen while creating value propositions that resonate across the semiconductor ecosystem. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy for developing the NSTC's advanced capabilities and facilities based on immediate and long-term market demand 

  • Lead market research initiatives identifying high-value opportunities across the semiconductor ecosystem 

  • Create innovative pricing and business models supporting both revenue generation and ecosystem advancement 

  • Design product roadmaps aligned with industry needs that expand the NSTC’s technical capabilities 

  • Conduct detailed market analysis of semiconductor industry requirements and capability gaps 

  • Guide development of service offerings across research, manufacturing and workforce development efforts 

  • Establish product development methodologies balancing market demand with mission objectives 

  • Direct voice-of-customer programs ensuring deep understanding of industry needs 

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new capability offerings 

  • Create value propositions resonating with diverse semiconductor stakeholders 

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between technical and business teams 

  • Establish metrics tracking product success and market impact 

 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Master's Degree in Relevant Engineering desired 

  • 12+ years semiconductor industry experience 

  • Technology Development or Technology Integration or Device Technology experience required 

  • Strong product management background 

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor industry economics 

  • Experience in market analysis 

  • Technical capability assessment experience 

  • Strategic planning capabilities 

  • Strong stakeholder management 

  • Market research experience 

  • Cross-functional team experience
