If you are someone who’s looking to bring innovation, contribute ideas and play a part in renewing the global procurement organization we want to hear from you!About the RoleAs part of the Global Financial Reporting group, the Service Company and Rate Case Support team is primarily responsible for Service Company financial reporting, calculating annual allocation rates, and testing compliance of transactions to allocation policy and rate case cost of service. These processes ensure accurate financial statements and rate case cost of service, which is pivotal to the Finance function and National Grid as a whole.Analyst, Service Company and Rate Case Support is responsible for rate case support testing and Service Company compliance and reporting. Responsible for identifying errors in testing and reporting the results to ensure accurate financial statements and rate case data.Reports to the Manager, Service Company and Rate Case Support, and is responsible for producing accurate and credible results.What You'll Do• Reviews transactions to ensure compliance with the Cost Allocation Manual and rate case cost of service criteria• Works with counterparts on correcting errors found in compliance testing• Support rate case by preparing Information Request responses• Calculate rates used for annual Service Company rate update• Prepare schedules used in the annual FERC Form 60 filing• Calculate allocation rates annually in accordance with Cost Allocation Manual, to be used in SAP update of rates each year• Responsible for following US GAAP, SOX and other accounting standards• Assembles and reviews supporting Service Company and Rate Case documentation and resolves any concerns to ensure compliance with audits• Responsible for meeting financial filings and reporting deadlines.• Responsible for supporting financial and non-financial controls to meet business requirements.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting roles with increasing responsibility• Experience working with support functions and regulatory roles preferred• Ability to support regulatory processes and rate case filings• Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining compliance and meeting deadlines• Excellent written/oral communication skills• Knowledge of general ledger platforms and accounting system experience• Experience reviewing and resolving data discrepancies• Able to assess accounting issues and recommend solutionsMore Information#LI-NK1 #LI-ACCOUNTING #LI-HYBRIDAnnual SalaryDNY: $99,000-$116,000MA: $92,000-$108,000UNY: $82,000-$96,000Salary commensurate with experience and location.This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
