Job Description This position seeks an intern to work in the Accelerated Deployment and Decision Support Center. This intern will work on a project that seeks to examine the market opportunity for new construction solar by exploring the information gaps and barriers to the co-installation of PV during residential construction projects. The high-level goal of this project is to identify what would need to be true for rooftop solar to become a standard consideration in all new construction projects. We seek to: (1) identify contractors' perceived barriers; (2) categorize these barriers as either misperceptions on the part of contractors, gaps in knowledge/information, or structural hurdles; and (3) identify solutions to these barriers and challenges. The intern will work closely with the project PI to analyze and disseminate research outputs. Typical tasks may include: • Synthesizing research data from multiple resources to identify solutions to solar on new construction industry. • Assist in writing publication quality report using the synthesized research data • Support in dissemination activities of the project that includes engaging with stakeholders, developing communication briefs, and organizing stakeholder meetings. . Basic QualificationsMinimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution. Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year. Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master's degree program from an accredited institution. Post Graduate: Earned a master's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year. Graduate + PhD: Completed master's degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution. Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)Job Profile: / Annual Salary Range: $34,000 - $54,400 NREL takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
