Key Responsibilities:
Provides strategic consultation to Chief Technology Officers (CTO), business unit (BU) Finance leaders and BU leadership teams and participates on multiple CTO cabinets to serve as an expert in Technology strategic, operational and financial planning. Partnership includes thought leadership, development and support for implementation of efficiencies needed to set the Technology cost benchmark and close the gap to benchmark to peers within the industry.
Oversees development of and delivers presentations/leadership messages including financial reporting and analysis of pre and post allocated Technology budget, forecast and results. Also, provides BU Finance support for post allocated results, including reporting and presentations, and serves as subject matter expert (SME) for analysis of Technology impacts.
Works closely with stakeholders including CTOs, BU/Corp Finance leaders as well as business unit leaders to develop business cases and model Technology costs as well as benefits over the multi-year. Partners with Business Unit Portfolio management team in support of Enterprise Build Portfolio processes and decisions.
Partners with stakeholders, including Procurement/ Supply Management Services (SMS) leadership on financial contract negotiation, support and analysis. Responsible for reviewing/approving multi-million Technology contracts.
Leads an internal team of Financial Directors and Financial Business Advisors who partner closely with Business Solutions Area (BSA) leaders within Technology for financial planning, management and analysis within all levels of the Technology organization.
Oversees and leads associate management including performance management, talent management, engagement, salary planning and administration, development, and talent acquisition.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Sr AVP Corporate Finance and Expense Management. Leads a team of six direct reports and approximately twenty indirect reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting preferred. Graduate degree desired.
License/Certification/Designation: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Experience: Typically, ten or more years of experience in financial services with an emphasis on finance, accounting, expense management and/or business operations. A minimum five years of people leadership background is preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Excellent technical finance skills, preferably with a concentration in Technology expense management, including complex Technology cost chargeback/recovery processes. Exceptional people skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally. Excellent problem solving and storyboarding skills including the ability to analyze and report on financial results and trends. Proven ability to direct the development of forecasts and budgets using trend analysis as a basis. Proven ability to direct the management and training of associate’s in technology financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and system development. Demonstrated competency in clearly communicating thoughts, ideas, and concepts both verbally in individual and group settings and in writing. Proven ability to provide actionable advice/solutions to stakeholders, build effective partnerships and ensure priorities are aligned. Expertise in team building with the ability to develop and lead engaged high performing teams.
