Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:Finance is a strategic business partner throughout the organization, creating value by aligning with the businesses to provide substantive insight for improved decision-making. We partner at all levels of the company, serving as proactive team members who support and advise while being accountable to both internal and external customers.Summer Interns will receive hands-on experience supporting a Strategic Business Unit or Functional Area within our Finance Organization. Interns may take on special assignments such as developing financial models, improving processes, and preparing individual and group projects to be presented to Finance Leadership. Through these activities, Interns will learn the financials of Raytheon, how our organization is structured, and how the company fulfills its commitments to our customers. Interns also participate in weekly development sessions to learn technical and soft skills and grow their network. Interns will gain exposure to Raytheon Products, Customers, tools, and processes in the Finance organization with “on-the-job” training in areas ranging from:• Financial Planning & Analysis• Accounting• Overhead Rates & Budgets• Program/Contract Business Management• Pricing/Proposal Development• Project Management: Scheduling (IMS)Responsibilities to Anticipate:• Identifies, defines, and resolves problems that are not immediately evident.• Performs routine and repetitive tasks• Use detailed verbal/written instructions or standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and goalsQualifications You Must Have:• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Management, or another related field (i.e. STEM)• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.This position is for an actively enrolled sophomore, junior, senior or post-grad intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:• Sophomore - must have completed 30 credit hours of college by start of internship• Junior - must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship• Senior - must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship• Post-Graduate - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internshipQualifications We Prefer:• Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, & Project• Cumulative 3.5 GPA desired• Previous internship experience in a related field• Experience leading a team project• Extracurricular involvement in school or communityLocation Information:• McKinney, TX• Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
