We are seeking an experienced Director of Consumer Product Marketing living in the San Francisco Bay Area to join our team. You'll collaborate with Product Development to shape strategy and positioning for consumer networking products and develop revenue-driving GTM strategies for mesh systems, routers, mobile hotspots, and services. This role requires consumer-centric thinking, product positioning, and go-to-market expertise, as well as team leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to develop product marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
Mentor and manage four members of the team, fostering a culture of professional growth, innovation and excellence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand, product, design, and engineering to develop compelling product and services positioning and value propositions that resonate with target consumers.
Conduct market research and leverage the insights to inform product messaging frameworks and ensure brand voice and storytelling align with target audience expectations.
Lead product launches and marketing campaigns and build comprehensive GTM plans with clear timelines and KPIs.
Work closely with our cross-functional teams, external design agencies, and production partners to oversee the implementation of product packaging, and ensure each project is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget.
Collaborate with other marketing teams in the creation of marketing materials including product pages, videos, and advertising.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
12+ years of experience in product marketing, with a proven track record of success in driving product growth and revenue.
Deep understanding of B2C marketing, with experience in turning complex technology specs into consumer-friendly storytelling.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple and compelling messaging.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
