In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing experiences that empower neighbors and businesses to build stronger communities while also contributing to Nextdoor's monetization strategies. You will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of user experience, product design, and business tools, shaping the future of the Nextdoor product as it continues to grow globally.As part of your ownership, you will lead and enhance the end-to-end search experience within the Nextdoor platform, ensuring it meets both user needs and business objectives, driving engagement and revenue growth. Ensure design consistency and quality across all platforms and devicesBuild in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor valuesWhat You'll Bring To The Team5+ years of professional experience in user experience and product designStrong sense of empathy for customer needs and insights as well as an intuitive grasp of the business problems we're solvingExperience in strategic product thinking, developing product goals, and making data-driven decisionsExcellent UX, interaction, and visual design skills with proficiency in designing across multiple platformsDetail-oriented with the ability to lead design processes and drive design consistency and qualityStrong communication and presentation skills, capable of representing design work to diverse audiencesPlease include a link to your portfolio in addition to your resume.RewardsCompensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $158,000 - $211,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.We have you covered!
