Job DescriptionThe Performance & Optimization Expert interfaces with customers to provide network design, optimization and performance related services. The Performance & Optimization Expert will be a 5G SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the 5G Radio Technology, Optimization Principles, RAN Features, KPIs & CounterWe are seeking an experienced NPO (Network Planning & Optimization) Expert to join our team at Nokia. The ideal candidate will have in-depth business knowledge and the ability to analyze complex problems to improve products and services. As a professional advisor and mentor, you will lead projects, manage resources effectively, and optimize networks based on customer forecasts.ResponsibilitiesAs part of the team, you will:• Required to manage the delivery of network planning and optimization projects according to the agreed scope of work (SoW), while managing customer's expectations and schedule of acceptance.• Lead a team of RF engineers and performs RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project managers guidance• Radio Optimization of 5G/LTE networks to trouble shoot and improve KPIs.• Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems.• Implementation of new features and tuning 5G/4G (LTE) radio network parameters.• Implementation of new RAN features and tuning of RAN database parameters.• Radio propagation planning, optimization of coverage footprint and services.• Interfaces with customers to provide network design and performance related services, according to the solutions portfolio.• Performs design and performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project managers guidance.• Travel: up to 50%Location: Preferred location is Bellevue, WA. For the right candidate, we may consider Dallas, Texas or other US locations.QualificationsYou have:• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science. Master's degree is a plus.• At least 8 years work experience in RF Planning & Optimization for 5G/LTE.• At least 4 years work experience on 5G Network Planning & Optimization.• Demonstrated proficiency in 5G/LTE KPI analysis and statistical reporting• Expertise with RF Optimization tools, DT measurement tools (ex. TEMS, XCAL, QXDM) and post processing tools (ex. Actix).• End-user / customer problem investigation.• Result oriented with focus on product quality and customer satisfaction.• Team player, open communication and ability to work in international team.• Excellent Communication skills.It would be nice if you also have:• Automation & Programming skills in Python, SQL, C++ is a plus.• Querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SQL, etc.is a plusAbout UsCome create the technology that helps the world act togetherNokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
