Position Summary
The Student Enrollment Assistant will be responsible for serving students and families who enroll at any New Orleans
public and non-public schools participating in the unified enrollment system. The Student Enrollment Assistant will
primarily be responsible for early childhood eligibility verification, waitlist management, virtual assistance to families in
need of enrollment services (i.e. phone, text, email, virtual appointments), and providing back-of-house support to
Student Enrollment Coordinators and Family Resource Centers.
Salaries are determined by educational background and/or relevant years of experience.

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday;
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals) rarely;
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
- Normal setting for this job is an office/school setting.
Performance Evaluation
The employee will be evaluated based on the above position using either two methods: via COMPASS or a NOLA-PS evaluating instrument. If the employee holds an Educational Leadership certification, he/she will be evaluated via COMPASS to ensure renewal of certification.

Your primary focus will be on assisting students and families with the enrollment process in both public and non-public schools participating in our unified enrollment system. From verifying early childhood eligibility and managing waitlists to conducting virtual appointments, your support will be invaluable. You’ll shine in providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries through phone, text, and email, and making sure families receive all the help they need. Keeping track of important student data using SalesForce, you’ll also ensure compliance with state privacy laws while guiding families through the enrollment procedures. Your work will support students with varied backgrounds, including those with special needs and limited English proficiency. With your experience in customer service and a valid Louisiana driver's license, you'll be bringing a wealth of knowledge about community resources to the table.
