Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Human Resources organization. The selected candidate will serve as the business partner and consultant to internal client groups to help build organizational capability to meet sector and organizational strategic goals. This position will be in located in either Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA. Occasional travel is required.The incumbent will be the focal point to implement HR strategy, programs, and policies across multiple client groups, including demand planning, staffing, organization & talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward & recognition, and will help drive a culture of high engagement and inclusion that sustains the highest level of employee and business performance.The position requires a candidate who will demonstrate:• Ability to execute HR initiatives both at a local level and across various sites and functional groups through expert organization and communication skills, project management, change management, self-motivation, task ownership, and accomplish complex duties in a dynamic, high-impact, time sensitive environment.• Strong relationship building skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships with clients and HR subject matter experts as the basis for being able to influence and drive change• Strong consulting and decision-making skills; able to seek and succinctly present key information, dissect the root cause or core problem, recommend and drive effective, outcomes-focused solutions in an environment of ambiguity• Deep talent mindset coupled with practical experience in driving leader development, succession planning and talent retention strategies• Demonstrate analytic skills; able to leverage data and business insights to evolve decision making; able to translate business strategy into implications for workforce• Inquisitive Mindset - seeks clarity and understanding in order to build the big picture and connect the dots; also dives into the details as necessary• Strong technical competence across one or more HR disciplines:• Leadership Development• Talent Management• Employee Relations• Key Leadership Traits:• Unwavering ethics and values; trusted partner• Strong partner and team player; focused on organizational and team success• Embraces ambiguity• Cultivates positive employee experience in the achievement of business objectivesThis requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications for a Human Resources Business Partner:• Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 3 years of Human Resources experience OR a Master's degree AND 1 year of Human Resources experience• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need• Must be willing and able to travel 10-20% of the timeBasic Qualifications for a Principal Human Resources Business Partner:• Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 6 years of Human Resources experience OR a Master's degree AND 4 years of Human Resources experience• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need• Must be willing and able to travel 10-20% of the timePreferred Qualifications:• Demonstrated experience in prioritizing the workday, balancing multiple projects, and working across multiple deadlines• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint• Demonstrated proficiency in Workday• Previous HR experience in Aerospace & Defense• Current/active DoD clearanceMelbourne Salary Range for HRBP: $62,200-93,400Palmdale Salary Range for HRBP: $72,100-108,Melbourne Salary Range for Principal HRBP: $76,600-115,000Palmdale Salary Range for Principal HRBP: $88,700-133,100
