Job Description

The Program and Outreach Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, development, implementation and promotional efforts of evidence based psychosocial support programs that directly support the strategic plan, mission and vision of LivingWell Cancer Resource Center
  • Create, develop and implement an annual comprehensive promotion and outreach plan to increase program awareness and utilization; this includes but is not limited to newsletters, new participant folders, and welcome bags.
  • Secure and train Ambassador and Connect-to-Care Volunteers and develop/update recruitment and training materials and provide annual on-going training/assessments.
  • Oversee the execution of program presentations and events including set-up of all AV / room configurations; meet, greet, and introduce all guest speakers; provide an overview of Living Well programs and services to attendees and assist with participant satisfaction survey processes.
  • Serve as a liaison to cultivate and steward new relationships and opportunities within communities served by Living Well to strengthen current and future community relationships served by the mission.  The position will participate in community events and volunteer activities to promote Living Well’s mission.
  • Create and update and maintain LWCRC procedures as requested  
  • Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications

Required

  •  Bachelors Degree in related field or 3-5 years relevant experience in program development, implementation and successful promotion activities demonstrated by program growth.
  • Available to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Travel up to 60 miles from home office will be required.
  • Well organized and the ability to think independently with ability to keep deadlines and track detail.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, initiative, and highly effective listening and communication skills
  • Knowledge, awareness, and ability to build/strengthen relationships within the communities served by the mission.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • 1+ years of experience in community outreach, healthcare, or administrative support position, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • High degree of professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity.
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a team environment.
  • Comfort handling multiple projects, accurately setting priorities on a regular basis, thinking creatively, and working as a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to earn the confidence of a wide range of internal and external constituents and to network within the community.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Travel required for our South and West region locations.
