We are now looking for a Networking Software Intern to work on exciting projects in the routing protocol software area of NVIDIA Cumulus Linux. This is the preeminent open routing suite in the industry known as Free Range Routing, so you will build valuable experience observing and potentially contributing to an open source project. You must be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field and have very good proficiency in C and Python programming.
What you’ll be doing:
Working on prototyping different enhancements to routing protocol software, especially BGP
Performance analysis via tests and measurements, and tuning
Improvements to test automation framework
What we need to see:
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
Strong programming skills, especially in C and Python. Knowledge of shell scripting.
Clear understanding of data networking, especially TCP/IP and IP routing protocols
Good familiarity with software development in a Linux environment including the GNU toolset, git etc.
Team player with excellent work ethics and good communication skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Good knowledge of Linux internals and Linux networking concepts
Good knowledge of one or more IP routing protocols like BGP or OSPF
Participation in the open-source community or working with open-source projects

The hourly rate for our interns is 18 USD - 71 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.You will also be eligible for Intern benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
