OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for a Project Manager to work with our federal client.  The Project Manager must have at least five (5) years of experience performing administrative closeouts in a federal acquisition office. Experience should also include managing a closeout team while ensuring timely and agency-compliant closeouts. The individual will need to be adaptable and flexible to the client’s priorities. 

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a team of closeout specialists to ensure the timely and accurate completion of federal grant and contract closeout processes.
  • Track and report on the status of closeout activities, including financial reconciliations, contract obligations, and final deliverables, providing regular updates to the client via weekly and monthly status reports
  • Ensure that all closeout documentation meets federal standards and organizational policies, while identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Lead other team efforts as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 5 years of closeout experience in a federal acquisition office
  • Experience managing closeout teams
  • Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance. The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check
  • Active DoD Secret clearance a plus.
  • Work will primarily be performed remotely and at OCT’s office in Tyson’s Corner, VA. The individual, however, must be willing to travel to the client’s headquarters in Washington D.C. as needed.

Salary Range: $115,000- $125,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc.
