Operator I - Marine

Job Description
The Operator I will lead mobilization, demobilization, testing, required maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment offshore, to obtain high-quality in situ test data in the safest manner possible.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the mobilization of testing and/or sampling equipment as directed.
  • Perform standard testing and complex non-routine testing.
  • Follow preset guidelines for using both in-situ and laboratory methods or modifies as project situations require.
  • Travel offshore; both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Supervise, guide, and trains technicians on the job.
  • Work in varying weather conditions offshore on barges, boats, rigs, and docks and inland as required.
  • Workaround potential hazardous materials.
  • Attend safety meetings and follows all procedures in lab & offshore.
  • Assist and relieve Technical Supervisor when necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
  • Must have a driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel
  • Possess a technical school diploma or higher in Electronics, Mechanics, and/or applicable military training and experience.
  • Have 3 years or more of direct experience running downhole tools.
  • Possess a background in industrial electrical, electronics, and fiber optics.
  • Have advanced knowledge of electronic repair equipment and techniques.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and use of computer hardware and software, and the ability to troubleshoot technological problems of a sophisticated or advanced nature.
  • Experience in soldering, electrical wiring, and schematic interpretation, preferred.
  • Knowledge in hydraulic circuits fundamentals and troubleshooting preferred / troubleshooting experience, preferred.
