Able to define roadmap and direction for their area independently.• Leads cross-functional initiatives and identifies opportunities to improve collaboration between teams• Identifies and tracks the right metrics, with their team consistently meeting or exceeding goals• Uses rapid experimentation to learn quickly, iterate & get it rightJob ResponsibilitiesInfluence Strategy & RoadmapCan rely on breadth of product experience and analogs to aid in decision making in ambiguous situations. Proactively participates in setting strategic direction.• Actively promotes an experimentation mindset by driving hypothesis driven thinking and rapid experimentation in others; active participant in experiment review.• Analyzes complex, evolving circumstances and takes proactive action to appropriately distribute resources and meet goals on deadlineDeliver Products and Drive UsageHolds self and teams they work with accountable to undeniable impact on department performance• Translates broad company strategies into specific priorities and objectives for their team via clear product roadmap that delivers value to users and buyers• Creates effective plans with a defined purpose and business outcomes, defined roles / responsibilities, and clear timelines / milestones• Sets ambitious goals, doesn't settle for status quo and pushes boundaries appropriatelyCollaborate and CommunicateConsistently trusted to prepare and deliver coherent, highly credible, impactful and engaging written communication & presentations• Effectively negotiates ambiguous situations and drives to rapid decisions, for example, cross-functional product dependencies• Shows thought leadership and builds an external presence; starting to communicate externally as a Product expert, either in publications or at events• Can be counted on to help support analyst reports and evals for their areas of the product including demos and filling out questionnairesBe a Resilient LeaderA visible champion for company & department strategy that inspires confidence• Actively participates and leads changes that enhance Product & ADEPT effectiveness• Provides mentorship to other team members, and may also mentor teammates outside ADEPT• Consistently includes diverse points of view when solving business needs• Actively seeks to present at ADEPT all-hands, S&T as well as other large, cross functional meetings.• Actively seeks and provides hard feedback• Works on products and features of a ambiguous scope; can be trusted to deliver entirely new product lines or explore long-term strategies with little oversightKnowledge And ExperienceTypically 5-8 years product experience; or 3-5 years product experience with extensive experience with Optimizely (internal transfer or as a customer)• PM Expertise: Excels at product management, coaches others, and continues to refine the practice or product management at Optimizely.• Market Awareness: Has perspective on where trends will go (not just what current ones are). Can speak to direction competitors headed (not just current position).• Business Expertise: Expert business knowledge. Developing perspective on product success within the business.• X-Funtional: Work is frequently beyond scope of core areas.
