This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our Powhatan, VA office location. Remote work options are available for the right candidate. If you love the idea of working in a Fintech company with the environment and excitement of a start-up where you are making everyday impact - then read on.Job Summary:The Director, User Experience Design leads a team of UX/UI designers to design and execute the vision for the user interface of the MoneyGuide’s suite of products. This role is responsible for shaping the customer experience and satisfaction of MoneyGuide clients.Job Responsibilities:• Lead a team of UX/UI designers to deliver a unique-to-industry user experience with MoneyGuide products.• Demonstrate a profound understanding of UX principles and their effective application. Review and evaluate UX designs, identifying problems and providing suggestions and feedback to resolve them.• Drive the design and execution of a multi-year strategy with a focus on user experience (UX) to deliver an impactful digital presence across MoneyGuide products. Identify innovative opportunities through market research and information gathering, develop comprehensive UX/UI strategies,• edit content, create detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes, and build and maintain reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.• Lead design reviews and make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functionality and rapidly testing and iterating designs.• Partner with internal teams to ensure expert knowledge and insight into MoneyGuide products and industry trends.• Collaborate with MoneyGuide leadership to define team priorities including requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and approval processes.• Partner with the front-end development team to ensure accurate translation of Figma designs to maintainable code.• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.Required Qualifications:• 8+ years of product design experience• 3+ years of experience managing a design team• Proven experience as a UX designer or similar role for enterprise software and web-based applications• Experience working within software development life cycle• Experience designing in FigmaPreferred Qualifications:• Experience with building and maintaining reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code• Experience in the Financial Services industryAbout Us:Envestnet is a leading independent provider of technology‐enabled investment and practice management solutions to financial advisors who are independent, as well as those who are associated with small or mid‐sized financial advisory firms and larger financial institutions.
