Job SummaryIn this role you will be responsible for designing and monitoring the user interface of MyBobs.com, customer-facing elements of related software, and other future digital products & services. You will develop meaningful digital experiences that are intuitive, user-friendly and delightful through effective information architecture, interaction design, visual design, usability evaluations and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will play a critical role in the success of our fast-growing $200+ million eCommerce channel and in increasing the eCommerce share of $200+ billion overall company sales.Reporting to the User Experience Lead, you will work alongside Product and Development teams to measure and optimize applications, guide creative choices, champion the end-user's needs and create the best user experience for our customers. We look to promote from within our organization by having robust succession planning in place to ensure that our team members have the opportunity to advance their careers.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders, such as product managers, developers and other designers to iterate on solutionsSupport efforts to streamline the UX/UI design creation and production process chainHelp develop a scalable design system and interfaceTranslate concepts into front-end specifications creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, visual designs and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiencesConduct user research and usability testing to identify customer pain points and create wireframes showcasing interaction flows, information architecture and designs to combat these pain pointsAnalyze user research data to identify opportunities for improvement and design solutionsCreate detailed, user-friendly design documentation that can be consumed by technical and non-technical audiencesServe as a subject matter expert in design & design research, current trends and patterns for mobile-first designEnsure digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of the target audienceAdapt product experiences to different audiences based on their needs and the devices they use (feature personalization, responsive design, accessibility)Help facilitate a process and design system that supports consistent UX principles and processes across devices and channelsSupport collaboration and discovery sessions between Engineering, Product, Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and UXDevelop personas, user flows and scenarios, goal/task analyses, and other key tools of user-centered designSupport multiple projects in parallelCollaborate with UX Lead and stakeholders to meet UX deliverables and deadlinesEnsure wireframes, process flows, and other UX/UI artifacts can be successfully delivered from ideation to implementation within development timelines and technical restraints, partnering with product and development teamsEarly development of multiple concepts and production of user stories and high-level requirements for UXUnderstand business objectives, complex workflows, and end-user needs with ability to translate that into a seamless experience for the customerAdvocate for strong user perspective across all scrum teams and product developmentParticipate in test planning and execution to ensure that expected results will satisfy business and non-functional requirementsChampion user-centered design principles, leverage data from user tests, analytics, and A/B tests to drive the design process, and to create experiences that meet user needs (while simultaneously addressing business goals)Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a Design discipline such as Human Computer Interaction, Product, Industrial, Digital, Information Architecture or another closely related field3+ years of work in UX for customer-facing applications and mobile designExperience developing scalable design systems, concepts and structuresProficient in leading industry UX/UI prototyping toolsProficient in leading industry UX/UI design softwareProficient knowledge of coding languages including HTML, CSS and JavaScriptStrong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, usability and user research best practicesA design portfolio demonstrating your UX process, creative thinking and the delivery of solid end-to-end scenarios on responsively designed websitesFamiliarity with ADA WCAG 2.20 AA compliance guidelines to drive all UX deliverablesProven ability to conduct user research and translate findings into actionable insightsDetail driven, highly organized and able to manage time across several concurrent projectsExperience collaborating across Product and IT teams on technical implementationsAgile mindset, comfortable operating in an evolving environment with changing prioritiesHighly creative with meticulous attention to detail and passion for creating user-friendly and visually appealing productsExperience implementing and adhering to brand guidelinesStrong work ethic and self-motivated with ability to take ownership, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently (including remote work)Empathetic, open to feedback and able to communicate and collaborate effectivelyPreferred QualificationsExperience with SAP Hybris platform a plusExperience with Bloomreach CMS a plusExperience with Adobe XD or similar design tools as well as prototyping tools a plusExperience in the Retail industry (furniture category)Physical Requirementsn/aExpected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:$71,000 - $89,000 It is policy of Bob's Discount Furniture, Inc., to provide equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment.
